Santa Fe, New Mexico (PRWEB) March 06, 2012
Santa Fe starts off the month of March grooving with the pop, rock, reggae, industrial and funk hot music licks of the 3rd Annual SxSF Transit Music Festival, a SantaFe.com Featured Event. Presented by T-Cubed Productions, Transit Music, Meow Wolf, Heath Concerts, The After Hours Alliance, The Santa Fe Reporter and Santa Fe Sol, the SxSF Transit Music Festival is the way station for a group of bands headed to the world-famous South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. Music fans in Santa Fe can get their live showcase music fix in the City Different in March instead of making the trek east. “The 2012 SxSF Transit Music Festival has shaped up to be a great event. The music line-up is the organizers for this event have put together is stellar. This is one you do not want to miss”, states SantaFe.com Editor Todd Eric Lovato.
Back in 2010, local music promoters Mikey Baker and T- Cubed Productions Tim Franke put the SxSF Transit Music Festival together with eight artists and a handful of local acts. The following year the SxSF Transit Music Festival expanded to 50 plus artists which included Foster the People, Neon Indian and The Dodos, all of which are now Billboard chart-topping bands.
Corazon, a Santa Fe music venue that hosted the 2011 SxSF Transit Music Festival, closed down, but as luck would have it, Joe Anderson and Santa Fe Sol (formerly The Santa Fe Brewing Company) came forward and offered to host the 2012 festival. Santa Fe Sol offers several advantages including increased seating, state of the art sound and light plus a top-notch stage. Sol also has a terrific grill menu and a full liquor license.
The SxSF Transit Music Festival is an all ages event. Tickets, event info and the evolving full festival lineup can be found at http://www.solosantafe.com, http://southbysantafe.com/ or http://www.ticketssantafe.org .
